Almost all of G3TXQ's tests on his website with ferrite core baluns involved RG58, so I figured RG8X would be even better. I have a lot of it, and no RG58.
Luckily, these things are easy to work with, so if I ever have/want/need to change it, it's so easy even a lawyer can do it, 3 out of 5 tries, anyway. I see also that Steve's test methods involve equipment I don't have or ever heard of! Thanks for the inputs, men, and the off list e-mails, too.
