John, The K3 receiver is switched to external RX antenna port (RX ANT IN on rear panel) when you will select it by RX ANT button on the front panel. In that case your K3 is transmitting to one of the main ANT1 or ANT2 ports and it receiving from RX ANT IN port. ( we are talking about the main RX)
