I'm not a frequent phone operator but thought I should at least have a mic so I bought an MH2 when I ordered my K3 years ago. I used it a few times but decided I didn't want to use a hand mic at the operating desk and put it away in a drawer. (I take it when I deploy to Field Day since some ops like to use it.)
Instead I bought a very light weight $20 Best Buy computer/iPhone headset and use VOX all the time. The K3's TX EQ fixed most of its shortcomings.
