At Dayton this past year, I asked Wayne about the availability of the K3S VFO A tuning knob for those of us with the K3. I was impressed with the improved feel of the K3S knob-- it felt heavier and of higher quality. He told me that the knob and encoder are identical but the rubber ring was different and would be available as a retrofit for the K3. Fast forward to last week, I noticed that the new "Neogrip" rubber ring is now available from Elecraft for $16.95. I just received mine and love the improvement! Highly recommended.
