The K-Pod has a vastly superior encoder and knob compared to the PigKnob. Using the same encoder as the K3 in the PigKnob wasn't economically feasible at the low quantities I deal with. There is a header on the board though for enterprising individuals who want to connect the K3 encoder (purchased from Elecraft) to the PigKnob.
