If each screen is used just for a few minutes a day, the total usage-years is in the hundreds of millions. Touchscreen-equipped devices, including phones and tablets, are among the most widely-used consumer electronic devices of all time. If there is some undiscovered flaw in the concept of a touchscreen, it hasn't shown up so far.
