Prior to the release of the PX3 I used a computer. Since I got the PX3 I no longer use the computer for anything but logging. It's integration with the KX3 allows it to do many more things than the computer could. After the upgrade to add keyboard functionality, it is even better. You can do PSK31, PSK63, and RTTY from the keyboard. It also added 40+ more cw and digital mode memories.
