Further checks on this - I reloaded the old FW back to Beta 5.35 and the
problem existed in that one so I loaded the current production version
5.38 and it occurs there as well so I went back to the test version I've
been using. Once programmed, the memories work as they should, they
just hang to a solid tone when the IM character is sent during
programming and it appears to be a problem with the K3S only.
