While attempting to connect Win4K3's AUX1 com port to DXLabs Commander via HHD's Virtual Serial Port I was unable to communicate from Win4K3 (frequency and mode data)to Commander even though all commands sent from Commander to Win4K3 were being received and properly executed. A support request to Tom was quickly answered with "VSP doesn't work correctly, use cm0com.....". He provided a link to a signed copy of com0com which I installed and all worked well. I was surprised as I have used VSP for years with other software (PowerSDR, HDsdr, Omnirig, fldigi, WSJT, HRD....) without issue.
THE QUESTION IS: While I realize that the problem could be with either VSP or Win4K3 I do not have the necessary monitoring software to allow me to actually look at the data flow between the two. Has anyone looked at this issue with VSP/Win4K3 AND has been able to determine what the technical issue is that prevents VSP and Win4K3 from successfully communicating with each other?
