(I put the Kx3 in USB, hit data and set it to 45baud AFSK A and
decodetext.)

You are *inverted*. Select AFSK_A instead of USB - that will put
you into *lower sideband mode* which is the traditional "sense"
for RTTY.

AFSK traditionally uses 2125/2295 Hz tones (or 1275/1445 Hz) with
the lower tone (*higher* RF frequency) representing MARK. The
*only time* one would use USB is if using *brain dead software*
written by a programmer who has no concept of tradition and is
*too lazy* to provide the option to use LSB. However, if you are
using the internal encoder/decoder in an Elecraft transceiver use
AFSK_A.

Hi, Even following Kady's book, I can't get the KX3 to decode RTTY this
weekend. Does anyone have hints on the setup? (I put the Kx3 in USB, hit data

gibberish. S meter is in dual peak mode. Thanks for any help. de Doug K6JEY
