Ah not to worry. Elecraft rigs aren't like computers where they're shipped to you completely broken and you're wasting the better part of a week trying to get it into a usable state.
All you'll really have to do is plug it all in and turn it on, and you're ready to go. They do a superb job with the default settings and everything works first time out of the box. I've had my K3S since the spring and I haven't had to do a thing to it. I've twiddled with some of the settings like the AGC and played with the noise reduction but that's about all. The K2, yeah you have to build it first, hi hi, but the K3s comes completely configured/calibrated, etc. right out of the box.
