things up even further, but as Mark KE6BB was reminding me earlier, there is
a nice way you can power the PX3 using a standard KX2 battery that I
demonstrated a couple of weeks back:

   I did this some time ago and it works great - it looks like Elecraft made
provisions for such a battery in the design of the PX3 PCB. You need to open
the PX3 to recharge the battery, but it actually lasts for quite a while, I
haven't made precise measurements yet though.
