As a HAM of 66+ years... Elecraft is the best when it comes to technology, pricing for quality and the THE BEST customer service. Of all the equipment I have owned this company is the best and I will them along fruitful life, at least unitl I am dead :-). (I figure I will be around ~15-20 years.)

I can tell you that a few dollars off, when it comes to buying an expensive piece of equipment, will not make or break a deal for me. I either want the equipment, because it is able to suit my specific needs, or I do not. A few dollars one way or the other might be nice, but it will not influence my final choice. So far as Elecraft is concerned, when the chips have been down - I have ALWAYS received quick and accurate help from the factory. Sometimes by email and sometimes by phone. You will not get this one-on-one attention from the so called "big manufacturers." I am just not into squeezing pennies - I just desire great quality products!
