Suggest that you advise the serial number of your K2.
Later models incorporate mods to the KSB2 SSB module and the main cct
board which greatly improve the transmitted audio.
Pull up the Elecraft website and look at the ordering page for details
if your S/N is under 04000.
Both of my K2's bring excellent audio reports and I have no trouble
axcessing DX stations almost immediately. I use the Elecraft/Heil MD2
microphone. Your filters must be aligned as per instructions in the KSB2
manual and then tweaked by readjusting and asking for on the air
opinions from fellow hams.
