I resoldered the display. There were some questionable joints. I also found that during shipping two components on the bottom of the RF board had come loose, etc. After carefully inspecting the board, cleaning the flux, etc I found a couple of bridges. Works great now, and I am almost done with Part 2. Thanks to all who replied.By the way, the Rework Eliminators are an excellent product, and I highly recommend them.
Mike AI4NS I fired up the partially assembled K2 I purchased, and I get an info message 090.Says it is an EEPROM test #1 failed. Also the display is does not show all segments, and the Tuning knob has no effect. I did a complete reset with no effect.
