Same problem here Bill. I never noticed this on my K3. I sent an email to Elecraft support. I'll see what Elecraft support comes back with. As you mention, the output is not super low either... anyone in the room could hear it. Primarily on the left channel, but the output is on the right channel too, just much lower. We have the exact same issue, there is no question about it.
