When Elecraft came out with the 30/80 board to increase operating bands to 80,40,30 &20, I bought the mod and the AT kit that goes with the KX1. They haven't arrived yet so I still have time to think about antennas for portable-backpacking. The usual 29' wire with the 16' counterpoise would work well with 40,30 & 20. 80 presents a problem as SWR would be quite high ebven with the ATU.
