John, That sounds like inverted sidebands to me. Try presetting the CAL FIL BFO values to those indicated in the manual to get things in the ballpark and then go through the procedure again. The procedure does work FB, I use it 2 or 3 times a week on K2s that are in here for repair/alignment/calibration.
