Hi George It is a simple cable to make. You only require the PTT lead from the radio to the amplifier. It is actually only 1 wire and 2 connectors. Ground can be optional since the DC ground for the amp will be completed via the coax cable.
Band switching is an option and I ran for years on my TS480 and Flex 6300 without band changing data.
