If you want to rate how good (or how bad) a product is, you have to have a random sampling of owners and equipment.

If the sample is self-selected, your sample consists mostly of those having trouble, some who just like to help, and a few who don't own the product.

Most Elecraft customers are happily operating, and have no gripes for the list.

Nobody notices when things go right.

What you can learn from a list like this one is how the company handles problems.

Unlike Kenwood, both of the owners and most of the engineers (probably all) are on here, available to customers.
