Mike I have had problems with several DirecTV boxes with an 80 meter signal - even 3-5 watts. Wrapped the plastic DirecTV box in foil and cured the problem even at 500 watts. The, the DirecTV remote would not work through the foil, of course. RF was getting into the remote control circuit - only on SOME receiver models.
Was a DirecTV problem, not my K3. Don't rule out their problem.
