I don't see this as an either/or. I've loved CW since 1955, and it's still my favorite mode. I'm a founding member of CWOPS (#69). I work SSB and RTTY to support my local contest club. I find WSJT-X modes another way to make contacts that I can't make on CW -- extremely weak signals under really lousy propagation conditions, meteor scatter, double- and triple-hop E-skip on 6M, and so on. I'm working on QRP WAS on 160, and am hoping that JT65, JT9, and FT8 will help me pick up the last two. All but those two and WV were worked on CW.
