I guess the easy way to send “cw perfection” is a keyboard. Or an AccuKeyer (but that’s not the issue)
If you use a key of any kind, it’s virtually impossible not to make a mistake from time to time. Telling someone not to get on the air until their CW is “perfect” just keeps folks off the air. Now I’ll admit that there is a difference between slop and the ersatz mistake all of us make. But ... if I had been held to the “perfection” standard in 1958, I’d have never gotten on the air and tried to make a contact ... and still wouldn’t have.
