I upgraded my computer to MacOS High Sierra and found it could
not contact the K3. The K3 utility failed, RUMlogNG failed, and
wsjt-x failed. I found the following by robertklep on the web:
What seems to have worked for me is actually removing the FTDI
driver (/Library/Extensions/FTDIUSBSerialDriver.kext), after
finding that Apple ships an FTDI driver with the OS itself (/System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBFTDI.kext).
I moved the driver out of
/Library/Extensions/FTDIUSBSerialDriver.kext and things started
working again.
