Ken,
That message says the key or PTT jack is active, and the KX3 'thinks'
the dot contact is closed.
Do you have a microphone plugged in? If the PTT button is stuck, it
will cause that error.
If that is not the problem, do you have a stereo 3.5mm plug with nothing
connected to it? Plug it into the KEY jack and see if the problem stops.
Check the front key jack (where the KXPD3 plugs in). Is there anything
shorting the jack (header).
