Good morning all, A recent article in CQ Magazine describes a technique of listening to a station on two slightly different frequencies (65-80 Hz apart) in order to possibly increase the ability to copy weak signals. Both frequencies need to be provided to both sides of the headphones to achieve this effect.
I know that the KX2/KX3 can receive two freqs at once with dual-watch enabled and that with stereo phones, this puts one VFO in each ear. My question is, would using mono headphones (with dual watch enabled) damage the KX in any way? The article is described here, along with the comment from a reader that prompts this question: https://ae5x.blogspot.com/2018/01/improving-signalnoise-of-cw-signals-by.html TNX/73, John AE5X ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [email protected]
