Leaving the probe in place increases the amount of BFO 3rd harmonic in the output on 14 MHz. There may also be other spurs. I checked this and did notice that the spur became louder when the probe was plugged in. I don't know if the level is high enough to be a problem; most likely not with a QRP K2. But if you have a KPA100 or even a KPA100 and an external amplifier, it's probably a good idea to leave the probe disconnected.
