Everything was normal until I got to "VCO Alignment" in part 2. Prior to filling out the "VCO Voltage Readings" table, I was told to change bands to 80 meters and set the VFO to 4000 kHz and to adjust L30 for 6 volts at R30. Everything was great. Adjusting L30 felt good and lots of range but when I measured the voltage at R30 for the other bands, things didn't look so good. Here is what I measured.
80m 2.4 and 6.0 40m 7.9 and 7.9 30m 7.9 and 7.9 20m 2.4 and 4.1 17m 3.1 and 3.3 15m 7.9 and 7.9 12m 4.0 and 4.4 10m 3.3 and 4.1 As you can see, the voltages are a bit high. The instructions say that I can adjust the range up and down by tweaking L30 but it has no affect on any band except 80M. The frequency at TP1 is 6828.xx and it does not change when the VFO knob is changed. CAL PLL results in an INFO 232 message. Does anyone have any idea where I should start? -- John [K7SVV]
