I too had the LP-Pan before the K3. Computers can be finicky and I found using the LP-Pan to be at times difficult to keep running. I also did not find it easy to adjust the scale ranges to make the graphics displays optimized for what I wanted to do.
By contrast, the P3 was easy to set up and get running. The controls used for ranging the display were knobs with labels and were easy to adjust on the fly.
