It is not disabled automatically in Data A mode. I have looked and if I don’t set it purposefully it will remain at the last setting per band. I have macros that I use to toggle between voice operation and digital modes. I set the mic bias and mic btn menu items accordingly.
Happy to proven wrong as I could then shorten my macros. But I have experimented and what I have written is based on my observations of the menu settings. Also, I found nothing in the KX3 operation manual to indicate mic bias or btn are disabled on Data A mode.
