Tony,
Only one COM port is used for the KXPA100, PX3, and KX3 - and only one
application can use a COM port at a time.
Yes, it is a USB port on the computer, but the computer assigns a COM
port to the USB to serial adapter.
You will have to close one application to use another one. The port is
made BUSY by the 1st application, and cannot be used by any other until
that application releases the port.
In other words, it is a problem with the computer enforcing the one
application at a time using the COM port.
