Received my AX1 yesterday, so small but a gorgeous piece of engineering !! Put it to the test this morning.......I had just made a Q on 20m with Keith, KR7RK doing a SOTA activation from IL with my KX3 @ 80w, I’m in FL.
I set up my K1 and new AX1 antenna with a table top tripod inside my screened in porch. Keith was still calling CQ SOTA, I called and he returned my call. The K1 was set at 7 watts, the antenna tuned up 1.1 swr. I was amazed, it really worked !! Thanks for another great piece of Elecraft gear Wayne and Eric, you guys have another winner here !!
