That's about the size that I would wish. For those familiar with the National HRO-500, it was all solid-state but the size of the "conventional" tabletop/rackmount receivers of its time. Somewhere in my junk...err, parts collection, I have a spare tuning knob for the ICOM R-7000 reveiver - properly weighted and 2-1/4" diameter.
