Hi All, The fan of my K2/KPA100 will operate regardless of the temperature of the heatsink. The setting of tPA has changed for some reason and now shows 0C. Problem is that the value tPA cannot be changed using "edit" and turning the tuning control. Anyone experienced the same and found a solution?
As to the reason why tPA value changed: I wonder wether this problem was caused by the 40 Meter Parasitic problem on my KPA100 similar to what was discussed on this list a few weeks ago. I carried out the mod suggested by Tom N0SS and repositioning the RF choke RFC10 near the Antenna Socket. I can confirm the mod substantially reduced the frequency of the parasitic and has almost completely cured it.
