In fact that is exactly what the KPA500 is looking for. When SERPOLL = ON, it 
sends “IF;FA;FB;” to the XCVR port.

From the response information it determines the Kenwood transceiver’s frequency 
whether it comes from VFOA, VFOB or one of the memory settings.
