Those are really good verticals and are center fed, which makes them a loaded vertical dipole. Certainly more efficient than the quarter wave simulated verticals without full size radials, or with out anything but your own radial hook up.
We have used them on science projects with outstanding ground wave coverage of 100 miles while at sea.
