Well, I tried to post my solution three times, and I guess it didn't work, so I'm trying a new subject.
I remembered that I had a 10-11 year-old, 22" Samsung monitor in the closet. It still has a good picture, and it is VERY quiet. so, that's my solution (for now, anyway).
