Since the basic K4 is direct sampling, I don't see there being a hardware blanker.  On the other hand, the "HD" will be superhet with crystal filtering.  Crystal filters delay and stretch noise pulses, making subsequent software blanking less effective.

So, my first question is, will there be a hardware blanker ahead of the crystal filtering and will there be some delay in the signal path to compensated for time delays in the noise channel?

Second, with there be enough "smarts" in the blanking system so an operator doesn't have to wade through 400+ settings?
