Many USB>Serial cables contain counterfeit chips. The legitimate makers
fought back by installing driver instructions that disable the
counterfeit. Maybe your update finally caught up. The Elecraft cables
are legitimate. Don't buy cheap knock-offs from the Internet.

and MacBook and neither finds the P3 responding. I have not been on the air for
several months so I am not sure when the issue arose.
