I was on a SOTA activation I wanted to record the summit reference number in one of the message buttons. I would push the message button and then 1 it would go into record mode. I would hit the left paddle and a dit would happen but when I would hit the right paddle I would get a dah-dit. This would only happen in record mode. It was fine when not recording.
