The built-in sound card idea has been suggested, but I'd think you'd also need an accurate clock for the FT modes... perhaps via a GPS receiver. Yes, the KX2 is smaller, lighter, etc... but the KX3 is not particularly large or heavy. So, maybe a KX4 would be about the same size as the KX3... or possibly a bit larger to accommodate some neat extra features. Nevertheless, I still like my KX3. 73 de RayK2ULRKX3 #211
