Very good troubleshooting Martin.
That is not a common failure and those BYPASS caps are used everywhere.
0.1 uF,25V,20%,Y5V,0603,SMD Elecraft part; E530222. Digikey
490-1575-2-ND
Anything close is fine (and probably fine without it).
