What a great Father's Day. Thanks to Don and Gary and countless
others, my errors have been corrected and I'm on the air with K2
#5312. First QSO was with K4RGR on 20M. Not exactly DX from Ohio
but I'll take it.
Two thoughts come to mind: one will date me ... "what a long, strange
trip it's been"
and "yes, it DOES take a village" There, I got Jerry Garcia and
Hilary R-Clinton in one sentence. A dubious result.
What I'm trying to say is a big THANK YOU to everyone in the group
who actively or passively followed along on my rather circuitous
route to finishing my kit.
Don, I thanked you and Gary on eham, as well.
I really needed and appreciated the encouragement I received. Not to
mention the incredible depth of technical saavy.
I must warn you, I still have to install various add-ons and, of
course the tuner and amp. So, don't leave the theater yet.
I'm sure to screw up again.
