When I switch the amplifier from Standby to Operate, I see and hear a noticeable reduction in received signal strength, both on the S-meter and in my headphones. Signal strength goes back up when I switch from Operate back to Standby. *Seems to only do it in DATA A mode*. No change on CW. Any ideas why? Rig is a K3S, using enhanced mode cables, if that matters.
