Not tried xoscope (might go have a look) but I used "baudline" on
Ubuntu Linux to set up my K2.

The only thing missing is user-settable frequency markers. It has
"waterfall", "spectrum" and "oscilloscope" displays. 

Give it a try. If you have trouble let me know and I'll try to point
you at the setting I used.
