The implementation of FA and FB character streams is identical except for the use of "B" instead of "A". Both reliably and consistently report the frequency of the associated VFO. The problem is that KAT500 does not read the FB word because it is not designed to read the FB word. Kenwood is not implicated and they have nothing to explain.
