I do use CW keyboards (yes my fist can be that sloppy hihi). I have a K1EL that is a stand alone and use the keyboard option in N1MM. Neither of these are difficult to go QRS.
Even with N1MM, I always have a straight and sometimes the K1EL connected specifically so I can go QRS and/or repeat specific info or send details not related to the contest. There are bad operating actions in contests and DXing, as there are in ragchewing. Some are just operating errors, some have become habitual, some are intentional I'd like to think that most actions are just mistakes in the heat of battle, but I know better. The best thing we can do is practice good operating procedures and lead by example.
