Hi Gang...one of my wants for my K2 (and there's not much) is a
different tuning rate. I use the 10/50/1000 Hz setting which is 1 KHz,
5 KHz and 100 KHz per knob revolution. I'm usually in the 5 KHz mode
and find that's too slow and don't like to be switching rates too
often. I'd like to cover 100 KHz in four turns so I'd like to try a
1KHz, 25KHz and 100 KHz option. Maybe Wayne would consider it if more
memory ever comes available or perhaps the 3C or 2 option could be
changed?
A second want from me is a good working vox. I work a lot of cw but I
use the K2 on phone as well and find the vox works great just as long
as I'm using 4:1 compression. Otherwise...doesn't work so well. I'd
like some menu settings with adjustable sensitivity so the vox works
great at 1:1 and 2:1 settings. I don't know that anti-vox is
necessary...just some control on sensitivity. My guess is the 4:1
settings were probably a compromise for contest use....which is a good
idea.
