Ouch! And I complain about it being 6 miles to the nearest Radio Shack! Anyway, for a QRP K2 any decent zip cord from the hardware store or just about anything you can scrounge is FB. Cord is supplied with the KPA100 since that requires heavy-duty stuff to handle the 15 amps or so the KPA100+K2 might draw.
There are a number of builders who will assemble your kit if doing it yourself is a "pain". We're supposed to be having fun here <G>. Ron AC7AC -----Original Message----- For those that have an interest in the current K2 serial numbers, today I received K2 kit #5600. I did a look see glance over inventory as per the instructions but I dont see any type of 12V DC power cord? Radio shack -- for me -- is a 110 mile round trip drive. So no power cord is a big item. I can always use some zip cord off some other piece of gear but it would have been lots better if it was included in the kit? During FD last weekend, the K2 I used worked exceedingly well on CW. So it appears to be worth the pain of building one.
