I believe he is talking about PS fans, which is not on the menu. However, there is a mod kit from Elecraft that includes the resistor. It is very easy to install. No soldering is required, and the most time-consuming part of the install is removing the cover. Contact Elecraft support and they will send it to you, if they are in stock during the shutdown. It helped my KPA1500 SN 4XX.
